Purchasing A Memorial

Purchasing A Memorial

Purchasing a memorial is unlike any other purchase you will make. When most families walk in our door they either have a general idea of what they are looking for or they are starting from scratch. This page strives to guide both groups of people through the process to help you design the perfect memorial for your loved one.

Step 1. It is important to know if you are looking for a single monument (for one person) or a double monument (for two people).

Step 2. We need to know if you are looking for a flat marker or an upright monument. Some cemeteries have restrictions regarding what they will and will not allow. Please make sure that you know the dimensions of the plots that you own and the cemetery’s regulations. If you are uncertain, please ask us and we will be glad to help!

Step 3. Contact us with any questions or concerns that you may have, or if you simply need help coming up with design ideas. Our staff is friendly, understanding and ready to help.

What to Keep in Mind. All of our monuments are made from granite. Granite is a durable natural resource that has proven itself to stand the test of time. Granite is quarried from all over the world, cut into the shape and size that you desire and then engraved.

With that being said, it is important to remember that we can design a monument any way that you want. Whether it is a different engraving or an interesting shape- the sky is the limit!

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How Long Should I Wait Before Purchasing a Memorial?
This is completely up to you. Some people are ready to discuss their ideas sooner than others. The right time to begin creating a memorial is when you feel comfortable discussing your ideas and feel able to make a confident decision.

How Long Does it Take to Complete a Memorial?
We have a full-service shop where all of our work is completed. Our standard delivery time on items typically held in stock is about eight to ten weeks. Specialty monuments and markers that are special ordered may take up to six months to complete. If you have a specific date by which you would like to have the monument set in the cemetery just let us know and we will do our very best to meet your needs.

What if I Live out of Town?
We work with many customers who live out of town. Several customers select the monument they want through this website while others come to our office to select their memorial. We will communicate with you via phone, e-mail, or US mail, whichever you prefer. We will also send you a picture of your memorial once it has been placed in the cemetery. With Enduring Love Memorials you are kept informed every step of the way.

Some Monuments in the Cemetery Lean. Why is That?
At Enduring Love Memorials we dry-pour a foundation underneath each of our monuments. We guarantee this method and, should your monument ever settle or lean, we will correct it for you at no additional charge. This is just another way that we provide outstanding customer service.

How do I Know I am Making the Correct Decision in Purchasing Our Monument?
Your monument purchase is a major purchase and should be well thought-out and considered. Our staff is pleasant, caring, and willing to help guide you through the process of designing the perfect memorial for your loved one. You will be provided drawings of your memorial and given an opportunity to make any changes before any work is completed.

My Loved One Was Cremated. Can I Still Place a Monument in the Cemetery?
The answer is yes. You will need to contact the cemetery and make the necessary arrangements. We carry a variety of cremorial products that may be erected in the cemetery or any other place you have designated for your loved one.

I am Looking to Purchase a Pre-Need Memorial. How Does That Work?
Choosing to purchase a memorial on a pre-need basis is a very personal and wise decision that will ensure that your loved ones will not have to do it and that you will get what you want. When people purchase a pre-need memorial we make it and place it in the cemetery within several weeks of purchase and simply leave a blank place for you future death date.

What are Some Common/Popular Epitaphs used on Memorials?
We have a library of epitaphs for you to look at. You are not limited to the epitaphs we have listed and it is our hope that they help you think of something beautifully appropriate. Please click here to view them.

I am Looking to Mark an Old Grave. Do You Have Anything Small and Inexpensive I Can Use?
Yes! We work with several folks who mark graves as a part of their genealogy projects and offer small, inexpensive stones that are typically used for that purpose. Call or come in and we will be glad to visit with you about your project.
